It’s been an interesting week since getting on the #27 at St. Cloud on Monday morning at 12:45 am. It was 17 1\/2 hours to Shelby, an evening of laughter, a relaxed interview, and a purring kitty on Monday. It was a full day of seeing churches, a potluck supper, and THE INTERVIEW on Tuesday (though I was only in for half of it and it was a really chill group). On Wednesday, we met with the synod in the morning and spent from noon to Thursday morning with my aunt and uncle before getting on a train to head back to Minnesota. We got back to Madison around noon. <\/p>\n
Montana feels like home now strangely enough and Madison just doesn’t feel “right” anymore. I guess the Spirit is trying to move me to that place where I know what God is calling me to do — I just wish it wasn’t so painful. I forsee more tears as I pack, as I worship this weekend, as I go through next week (if they vote to call us on Sunday *crossing fingers*), and as I talk with people. I have positive job prospects in Montana — they’re dying for substitute teachers. Here, I’d be competing for the secretary job that just opened up at LQP Church.<\/p>\n
I’m hoping that we can tie up all the loose ends here because I really want to get to Montana and kind of start over. I don’t want the financial mire that we’ve been in for the last 2 years to hang over us (and Jon’s severance package should help). I want people my age to hang out with and fellowship with (which I *would* have).<\/p>\n
