Jon woke me up this morning and asked me if I wanted to go to Lethbridge (the 2nd closest city to us, being 120 miles north of us in the lovely province of Alberta) and so we set out with Jon’s passport and our birth certificates.<\/p>\n

The border guard going into Canada was lovely…<\/p>\n
Border Guard: So what are you doing up here?
\nJon: We’re going to Lethbridge and we’re going to do some sight-seeing.
\nBorder Guard: In Lethbridge?
\nJen: We just moved to Montana, OK? And we figured we ought to see your lovely province.
\nBorder Guard: *shakes head*<\/p>\n
We got to Lethbridge and stopped by the vistor’s center for some maps.<\/p>\n

We went into Tim Horton’s but found nothing we really wanted…<\/p>\n

We finally settled on the Humpty’s next door where I had a pulled pork BBQ sub and Jon had poutine…<\/p>\n

After we ate, we stopped by The REAL Canadian Superstore to look around and see if we could find some mod podge for me…<\/p>\n

We didn’t find any so we headed to the EVIL EMPIRE<\/a> to look and thankfully found some as well as a couple crochet hooks and yarn.\u00c2? When we got back to the car, we saw this license plate frame…<\/p>\n We noticed a whole lot of Mormons up there.\u00c2? I have never seen so much Mormon culture outside of Utah — it was rather like being in a foreign country.\u00c2? (It was foreign for even Canada.) As we drove through the Alberta plains, it started blowing snow and about 50 km from the border, there was really only one lane of highway that was visible.\u00c2? We persevered and got to the border where we ended up with a US Customs agent who was a jerk.\u00c2? (I think he secretly has an altar to George W. Bush in his booth that he worships.)\u00c2? He basically interrogated us on what we were bringing back and asked what every freaking lump of stuff was in our car, trying to get us to tell him that we were smuggling contraband.<\/p>\n I drove from the border back home and it was interesting, especially since some idiots were riding our tails and trying to pass us at 70 mph in blowing wet snow.\u00c2?
