This is one that she suggested and I just found it on the Internet.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\"><em>Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth<br \/>\nAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;<br \/>\nSunward I&#8217;ve climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth<br \/>\nOf sun-split clouds, \u00e2???? and done a hundred things<br \/>\nYou have not dreamed of \u00e2???? wheeled and soared and swung<br \/>\nHigh in the sunlit silence. Hov&#8217;ring there,<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung<br \/>\nMy eager craft through footless halls of air. . . .<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><em>Up, up the long, delirious burning blue<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace<br \/>\nWhere never lark, or ever eagle flew \u00e2????<br \/>\nAnd, while with silent, lifting mind I&#8217;ve trod<br \/>\nThe high untrespassed sanctity of space,<br \/>\nPut out my hand, and touched the face of God.<br \/>\n<\/em>&#8211;John Gillespie Magee, Jr (a RCAF officer killed in WWII)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>My grandfather was a Navy pilot in WWII, flew with United Airlines, and used to take my brother and I up in his plane when we were little.
