In it, 16 people were arrested for protesting the leader of the country.  Two of those arrested had bogus charges levied against them.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A cleric was charged with &#8220;assaulting a police officer&#8221; because the officer claimed that the cleric touched him.  In reality, the cleric was pushed to the ground from behind while holding up his hands and saying &#8220;I am not resisting.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>A veteran was charged with resisting arrest after falling down while trying to get into the paddy wagon that would take him to jail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All in all, 16 people were arrested for &#8220;civil disobedience&#8221;. Yes, these were in the USA.<\/p>\n<p>Gee&#8230; I now live in a country where my <strong>guaranteed <\/strong>freedoms are severely restricted.  (That would be freedom of speech and freedom of assembly in this case.)
