\nProbably the Babysitters’ Club books and the Dr. Suess ones. I was also a huge Richard Scarry fan.<\/p>\n
2. What books from your childhood would you like to share with [your] children?<\/b>
\nThe Cat in the Hat<\/u>, Scrambled Eggs Super<\/u>, If I Ran the Zoo<\/u>, Anne of Green Gables<\/u>, Caddie Woodlawn<\/u>, Black Beauty<\/u>, Otto and the Silver Hand<\/u><\/p>\n
3. Have you re-read any of those childhood stories and been surprised by anything?<\/b>
\nI am continually amazed at how much of The Cat in the Hat<\/u> that I still have memorized. I think my mom still has the whole thing memorized — she had to read it so many times to my brother and I!<\/p>\n
4. How old were you when you first learned to read?<\/b>
\nI taught myself when I was 3. My 1st grade reading group was working through Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland<\/u> (the REAL book) by the end of the year because we’d read everything our school had.<\/p>\n
5. Do you remember the first ‘grown-up’ book you read? How old were you?<\/b>
