I first sang this in a chapel service at Trinity Lutheran Seminary<\/a>. It’s another Fanny Crosby hymn with a tune by W. How?ard Doane. It’s mentioned as a possible hymn for this Sunday in Year C on the Episcopal hymn site<\/a> and as the Episcopalians are as finicky as I am about using the A-word\/H-word during Lent, I’ll go with it.<\/p>\n

I’m glad I found a good version of it on YouTube<\/a> — I thought I would have to search through a bunch of icky ones before I found one that wasn’t stupid-sounding.<\/p>\n
