FOR TODAY<\/strong> May 5, 2014<\/p>\n

Outside my window…<\/strong> dark. It’s 11:00 p.m. and I’m blogging to clear out my brain before I sleep.<\/p>\n

I am thinking…<\/strong> about everything going on tomorrow morning and how to get it all done.<\/p>\n

I am thankful…<\/strong> for my talk<\/a> being over and for it going so well.<\/p>\n

In the kitchen…<\/strong> pesto quinoa salad with Kalimata olives and feta cheese.<\/p>\n

I am wearing…<\/strong> CPC t-shirt and black running shorts.<\/p>\n

I am praying for…<\/strong> for the crud in my upper respiratory to go away, for wisdom in how to parent Daniel, and for a few special intentions.<\/p>\n

I am going…<\/strong> to be focusing on housework tomorrow morning.<\/p>\n

I am wondering…<\/strong> what the future has in store for me after June 15th.<\/p>\n

I am reading…<\/strong> Something Other Than God<\/u> by Jennifer Fulwiler<\/a>. It’s resonating with me as a convert from atheism\/agnosticism to Christianity.<\/p>\n

I am hoping…<\/strong> my eye appointment on Wednesday goes well.<\/p>\n

I am looking forward to…<\/strong> my massage on Thursday.<\/p>\n

I am hearing<\/strong> the Benedictines of Mary, Queen of Apostles<\/a> on iTunes. They are on a playlist with all of my Bach and some of my other classical, chant, and Taiz\u00e9<\/a> music.<\/p>\n

Around the house…<\/strong> going to be focusing on the kitchen tomorrow.<\/p>\n

I am pondering…<\/strong> various things internally.<\/p>\n

A favorite quote for today…<\/strong> “If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.” — C.S. Lewis (I know I share this at least every quarter but it’s one that accurately reflects where I stand on things.)<\/p>\n

One of my favorite things…<\/strong> quiet time late at night for prayer.<\/p>\n

A few plans for the rest of the week:<\/strong> parent training tomorrow, eye appointment on Wednesday, massage on Thursday morning, counseling appointment on Friday, ABA therapy on every weekday afternoon, and whatever else pops up. I may or may not go to Ladies’ Night Out on Wednesday night depending on how I feel.<\/p>\n

A peek into my day…<\/strong> Daniel with my father’s hat at the Promise Walk for Preeclampsia<\/a> in San Jose on Saturday. Dad kept sticking it on his head and Mom got a picture of it before Daniel removed it.<\/p>\n
