FOR TODAY<\/strong> September 13, 2015<\/p>\n

Outside my window…<\/strong> dark. It was in the 80’s today, a nice change from the 100+F weather we had last week!<\/p>\n

I am thinking…<\/strong> about my wonderful grandfather whose 97th birthday is today. We lost him 9 1\/2 years ago but he is still with me in a lot of ways.<\/p>\n

\"Grandpa<\/p>\n

I am thankful…<\/strong> for the insane heat finally breaking. I miss decent fall weather in a place with 4 distinct seasons.<\/p>\n

In the kitchen…<\/strong> ramen — no creativity tonight.<\/p>\n

I am wearing…<\/strong> black v-neck shirt and black capri sweats. They’re functioning as jammies.<\/p>\n

I am going…<\/strong> to try and get all my errands done tomorrow as I’ve got a crazy week.<\/p>\n

I am wondering…<\/strong> if they’ll find anything during my procedures on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

I am reading…<\/strong> The Alpine Xanadu<\/u> by Mary Daheim. I finished The Alpine Winter<\/u> by Mary Daheim this last week.<\/p>\n

I am hoping…<\/strong> the bowel prep they gave me doesn’t make me as violently ill as the stuff they gave me 14 years ago.<\/p>\n

I am looking forward to…<\/strong>subbing in the church office this week.<\/p>\n

I am hearing…<\/strong> the whirring of my laptop. I think everyone else is asleep.<\/p>\n

A Daniel story for today…<\/strong> He cleaned off my bed so he could jump on it. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

A few plans for the rest of the week:<\/strong> PT and bowel prep on Monday (I promise not to live-blog it), endoscopy\/colonoscopy on Tuesday, working in the church office from Wednesday to Friday, meeting with Jon and my priest on Wednesday, and Episcopal Dodgers night on Friday. (It’s my first MLB game and unfortunately, I will be spending at the stadium of my team’s<\/a> mortal enemies!)<\/p>\n
