\nGive birth. See a good chunk of Alberta.<\/p>\n

\nFor the most part, no. Not sure if I’ll make more for next year.<\/p>\n

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?<\/strong>
\nMe. \ud83d\ude42 Also a few friends and a few people in the community.<\/p>\n

4. Did anyone close to you die?<\/strong>
\nOne of our parishioners who I became close to.<\/p>\n

5. What countries did you visit?<\/strong>
\nCanada. Most specifically, Alberta.<\/p>\n

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?<\/strong>
\nA parish for Jon.<\/p>\n

7. What dates from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?<\/strong>
\nApril 7th: Daniel’s birth <\/p>\n

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?<\/strong>
\nHaving the dude. <\/p>\n

9. What was your biggest failure?<\/strong>
\nNot dwelling on anything so I couldn’t say.<\/p>\n

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?<\/strong>
\nStrep throat, bronchitis, pre-eclampsia<\/a> (more specifically HELLP Syndrome<\/a>), multiple sinus infections, migraines, and whiplash.<\/p>\n

11. What was the best thing you bought?<\/strong>
\nProbably jeans from Lands’ End<\/a> or pajama bottoms <\/p>\n

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?<\/strong>
\nObama
\nNICU staff
\nMom<\/p>\n

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?<\/strong>
\nThe list is way too long and also too risky for me to post in an un-passworded entry.<\/p>\n

14. Where did most of your money go?<\/strong>
\nBuying Similac Neosure for the dude.<\/p>\n

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?<\/strong>
\nDaniel kicking butt in the NICU. <\/p>\n

16. What song will always remind you of 2009?<\/strong>
\nNot sure — there are many.<\/p>\n

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:<\/strong>
\n(a) happier or sadder?<\/strong> a little of both in different ways
\n(b) thinner or fatter?<\/strong> unfortunately the latter
\n(c) richer or poorer? <\/strong> richer, actually<\/p>\n

\nEating better and walking to get some of the pregnancy weight off.<\/p>\n

\nWorrying.<\/p>\n

\nIn Seattle with my family.<\/p>\n

\nVery deeply in love with Daniel.<\/p>\n

23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn??t hate this time last year?<\/strong>
\nUnfortunately yes.<\/p>\n

\nAnimal, Vegetable, Miracle<\/em> by Barbara Kingsolver
\nthe Twilight<\/em> books <\/p>\n

\nNo musical discoveries but I did find some great podcasts<\/p>\n

\nA healthy baby.<\/p>\n

\nA parish for Jon.<\/p>\n

\nNone. I don’t do movies.<\/p>\n

\n29 and I went out to dinner after work before heading down to the NICU.<\/p>\n

\nLess stress<\/p>\n

\n Maternity clothes.<\/p>\n

32. What kept you sane?<\/strong>
\nDaniel’s smile and laughter. TIVO’ed episodes of “Smoking Gun”<\/p>\n

\nNone. <\/p>\n

\nHealthcare reform.<\/p>\n

\nA lot of people who I wish lived closer.<\/p>\n

\nThe NICU staff at Benefis.<\/p>\n
