FOR TODAY<\/strong> May 25, 2015<\/p>\n Outside my window…<\/strong> dark. I was planning to get this done early but ended up having to spend 5 hours in the dark fighting a migraine. It was cold this morning but it seemed to get nicer later.<\/p>\n I am thinking…<\/strong> about VBS and what songs to teach because I’m co-leading the music and trying to come up with appropriate songs for the day, especially on the days that I’m leading it all. (We’re coming up with our own VBS curriculum this year which involves Legos and creativity.)<\/p>\n I am thankful…<\/strong> for Wycliffe<\/a>, Lutheran Bible Translators<\/a>, and all those who work with similar organizations that translate God’s Word into languages that others do not speak.<\/p>\n In the kitchen…<\/strong> I made myself some leftover pulled pork and baked beans for dinner.<\/p>\n I am wearing…<\/strong> grey v-neck shirt and navy\/white-striped pj bottoms. <\/p>\n I am praying for…<\/strong> a call for Jon, the water sitch here in California, my father-in-law who is fighting cancer, and a few special intentions.<\/p>\n I am going…<\/strong> to physical therapy tomorrow. I’m seriously looking forward to it.<\/p>\n I am wondering…<\/strong> about so many things at this late hour. This must be why I’m still up! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n I am reading…<\/strong> I finished Tragic Toppings<\/u>, Drop Dead Chocolate<\/u>, and Illegally Iced<\/u> this week and am taking a break from murder mysteries (I had some Livia J. Washburn ones that I just couldn’t get into) to read Vanishing Grace<\/u> by Phillip Yancey.<\/p>\n I am hoping…<\/strong> to get all the Jessica Beck books<\/a> I’m missing through the library.<\/p>\n I am looking forward to…<\/strong> seeing my parents on the 5th for a week and getting to spend some time with Rebecca<\/a>.<\/p>\n I am hearing…<\/strong> various VBS-type songs on one of the Mission Bible Class<\/a> YouTube channels<\/a>.<\/p>\n Crocheting…<\/strong> blankets and amigurumi stuff from the last few months.<\/p>\n Around the house…<\/strong> quiet as I’m the only one up.<\/p>\n One of my favorite things…<\/strong> silence.<\/p>\n A few plans for the rest of the week:<\/strong> PT tomorrow, Bible study\/errands\/choir on Wednesday, and a concert on Saturday in addition to whatever else comes up.<\/p>\n A peek into my day…<\/strong> One of my favorite Bach pieces (the “Fugue” movement from the Concerto for Two Pianos BWV 1061). I wish I could make this my ring tone for my cell phone.<\/p>\n
