FOR TODAY<\/strong> June 7, 2015<\/p>\n

Outside my window…<\/strong> dark but still warm. They claim it was 82F earlier but I don’t believe them — it felt like closer to 90F and it’s still hot in my parents’ house.<\/p>\n

I am thinking…<\/strong> about the heat. It’s supposed to be 95F tomorrow and my parents don’t have A\/C.<\/p>\n

I am thankful…<\/strong> for a good visit thus far with my parents. I’m here until Friday.<\/p>\n

In the kitchen…<\/strong> steak tonight. Leftovers tomorrow.<\/p>\n

I am wearing…<\/strong> my Momcat<\/a> shirt and capri sweats.<\/p>\n

I am praying for…<\/strong> a call for Jon, for my father-in-law’s cancer, for a friend who is having marriage issues, and for a few special intentions.<\/p>\n

I am going…<\/strong> to Costco<\/a> and Target<\/a> with Mom and Daniel tomorrow.<\/p>\n

I am wondering…<\/strong> if Mom and Dad will finish the planting in the front yard tomorrow. They got rid of the front lawn, covered the area with bark, and are planting ground cover.<\/p>\n

I am reading…<\/strong> Vanishing Grace<\/u> by Phillip Yancey and The Cat Who Robbed a Bank<\/u> by Lilian Jackson Braun.<\/p>\n

I am hoping…<\/strong> the heat breaks soon.<\/p>\n

I am looking forward to…<\/strong> cooler weather.<\/p>\n

I am hearing…<\/strong> Game of Thrones<\/a> — Dad is watching it.<\/p>\n

Crocheting…<\/strong> the amigurumi stuffed animal but am working right now on Daniel’s big boy blankie which I brought up to San Jose with me.<\/p>\n

Around the house…<\/strong> somewhat quiet other than Dad watching TV.<\/p>\n

One of my favorite things…<\/strong> coffee with my friend Rebecca<\/a>. We got to have coffee today after church<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A few plans for the rest of the week:<\/strong> walks, errands with Mom and Daniel, and whatever else happens before I head back down south on Friday.<\/p>\n
