One way I’m satisfying my New Year’s resolution is by taking part in the Promise Walk for Preeclampsia in May.

New Year’s Resolutions
OK… I decided to do the following as my New Year’s Resolution:
I will walk at least one 5K this year and plan to do a 10K walking by the end of the year.
If I run a 5K, I will make a $50 donation to the Preeclampsia Foundation.
Recap of 2010 New Year’s Resolutions
My New Year’s resolutions for this year were:
[+] Develop healthier habits.
[+] Update Daniel’s Twitter more regularly.
[+] Post here more often.
[+] Not eat any green paint.
The only one I completely kept was the last one though I did make progress on the third one.
*sighs*
The Simple Woman’s Daybook: December 13, 2010

FOR TODAY December 13, 2010
Outside my window… sunshine and temps in the high 70’s. (Believe it or not, I *do* miss snow.)
I am thinking… about stuff that’s going on this week.
I am thankful for… a fun church service yesterday.
From the kitchen… Trader Joe’s!
I am wearing… a black hoodie (I’m in $tarbux with lots of A/C), a charcoal-gray shirt, jeans, and flip-flops.
I am creating… podcast ideas.
I am going… nowhere interesting soon.
I am reading… a Mary Dahem murder mystery.
I am hoping… I can get dishes done and some cleaning done even with Daniel underfoot tomorrow.
I am hearing… Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me! on iTunes.
Around the house… lots of cleaning to do.
One of my favorite things… ginger bread at $tarbux.
A few plans for the rest of the week: PT/OT for Daniel, Christmas shopping, and stuff.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing… Fluffybutt, the cat at Jon’s parsonage up north

Really Sad
Great Falls Tribune: Displaced deaf couple glad no one was hurt in fire that destroyed duplex
This breaks my heart because I knew them — their family is from the area where we used to live in Montana and we were at several events with them. Elizabeth LOVED taking pictures and her family finally got her a digital camera.
I am really sad over this.
Purr Request
There is an online friend of Edda’s named Ginger Jasper who had to have some surgery and well… the nurse found that his fur was really matted in some places. They ended up giving him a lion cut and the results are pretty humorous if you don’t happen to be the cat.
Purr (or pray) for him. He is still recovering from surgery and is quite embarrassed by his fur cut — so embarrassed in fact that his mom had to get him a sweater.
Another Plea to Vaccinate Your Kids
Great Falls Tribune: Whooping cough prompts vaccine clinic in Bigfork
C’mon people! This is one of those diseases that we shouldn’t be having to worry about in the U.S. because we have the vaccines available. The autism link has been disproven.
VACCINATE YOUR KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
