About Jen

Jen isn't quite sure when she lost her mind, but it is probably documented here on Meditatio. She blogs because the world needs her snark at all hours of the night... and she probably can't sleep anyway.

A Brilliant Idea

The news in the last few weeks has been consumed with the thwarted terrorist attack on Christmas Day on Flight 253 from Amsterdam to Detroit. There’s been speculation on where the breakdown was, why he was allowed into the US, and all that jazz.

While I think that the major problem was at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam (which could have prevented him getting on the freaking plane if they had done the normal security searches on him) and that Janet Napolitano is wrong (the system DIDN’T work), I have an idea for all the people and pundits in Washington:

STOP THE MONDAY MORNING QUARTERBACKING AND DO SOMETHING TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING NEXT TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don’t give a flying rat’s butt about whether or not Obama was right or wrong in his reaction. This guy should have been on a no-fly list and someone in the intelligence community screwed up. Rather than pontificating, FIX IT.

That is all.

Grumping

The pain in my ear finally got bad enough that I stayed home from work until I could see my doctor. Apparently, the really sore ear is the good one and the one that isn’t hurting is the bad one. My throat was also red from all the crap draining down it. So… another two weeks of cat antibiotics (it’s the one we give our cats but in BIG horse pill form) and two kinds of ear drops. Oh freaking joy.

After having done the drops twice, let me just say that I am repenting of every time I’ve had to give them to my kitties for ear mites. I HATE them — the pain one makes my ear feel slimey and the dropper makes a popping sound when I stick it in there.

It’s also changeable pressures here which means I have a headache on top of everything else.

*grumps*
