To the people who are going on about the travel horrors we are supposed to encounter on Saturday when we fly to Seattle:

Yes… everyone and their mother got either delayed or had flights cancelled because of inclement weather last weekend. However… they’ve cleaned that mess up already and there aren’t any nasty storms forcast for the next few days.
STOP TRYING TO JINX US!!!!!

Up: The Great Falls trip went well despite the loser who tried cutting me off in the Wal-Mart parking lot.Â? (Apparently the moron thought I could suddenly stop on packed snow???)
Down: The temperature.Â? It’s been sub-zero for days and my car’s heater is not working well.
Up: Making out like a bandit at Old Navy.Â? Three pairs of pants for $40.
Down: The little monster in my belly did not want to be found for a heartbeat on Friday at my pre-natal appointment.Â? After 5 minutes of pressing on my belly with the Doppler, Dr. Awesome decided to play with the hospital’s ultrasound machine.Â? 20 minutes and more cold jelly on my tummy later, we got an ultrasound pic of the baby immediately and a lovely fetal heartbeat.
Down: Flu shot on Friday.Â? I have no immune system and am getting everything that goes around.
Up: Only two workdays this week.Â? (Though I’ll probably be staying late on one of those days to clean off my desk before I head to Seattle.)
Up:Â? Flying to Seattle next Saturday… if the weather improves.
Up: My laptop might be here before the estimated delivery date.
I called my dad last night to see if he got his present.Â? He had and he told me that my evil twin is headed to Honolulu on business today.
Have I mentioned how cold it has been here lately?
I left said evil twin a message on his cell phone saying “I hate you!Â? You suck!”Â? He responded by letting me know that he’ll be thinking of me while he drinks pina coladas on the beach.
Me?Â? Jealous?Â? Now why would one think such a thing???
It’s -42 with windchill.Â? Did I mention that we’re having furnace problems?
I’m just a bit crabby right now.
Oh… and let’s not talk about my ill-fated trip down to Great Falls today either.Â? I’m just happy that my priest makes phone calls.
I had my ultrasound on Monday and all is well in that direction.Â? I’m where I should be in terms of growth and weight gain.Â? The little sea monkey was waving its limb buds at us.
I’m also finally over the respiratory plague thanks to sleeping for most of Thanksgiving weekend as well as a round of antibiotics.Â? Now to get rid of the eye infection…
Let it also be said that winter sucks!!!!Â? I don’t know how I used to like snow and cold but I really don’t right now!!!!
Heather of Dooce.Com is dealing with the same medication issues I am with her pregnancy.Â? She’s on Prozac and she was talking about how there are people out there who would condemn her for staying on it while pregnant, knowing that doing so could harm her baby.Â? What the people condemning her fail to realize is… the risk to the mother from going off of it FAR exceeds the risk to the unborn baby.Â? The Effexor XR withdrawl for me was far worse than the birth defect would be if my sea monkey ended up with it (and the chance of it happening is 4 in 10,000).
I’m also cursing the snow and the nastiness it caused on my commute today.Â? I also froze my fingers off driving home.Â? *grumps*
