Considering all the junk that went on when I was a student that the administration conveniently ignored, I’m not surprised. They didn’t really act on anything unless there was a chance of a lawsuit. I was sexually harassed for 3 1/2 years and the administration did nothing until my parents threatened to sue.
I’m also sad to say that I don’t think it was the teacher who necessarily initiated some of it. The school was the cheating capital of the western hemisphere and I wouldn’t put it past some students to offer sex for grades since quite a few of my classmates have no consciences. This teacher shouldn’t have done what he did; but I also don’t think some of the victims were entirely innocent.
