Friday Five

1. Are you going to school this year?
Nope… still on sabbatical.

2. If yes, where are you going (high school, college, etc.)? If no, when did you graduate?
High school: 1998
College: 2001
Seminary: 2008 maybe?

3. What are/were your favorite school subjects?
High school: History, government, economics, French, Biology, and AP English
College: all my History classes and my Religion and Social Change class

4. What are/were your least favorite school subjects?
Calculus and my 10th grade Chemistry class — incompetent and racist teacher who let the Asian kids cheat

5. Have you ever had a favorite teacher? Why was he/she a favorite?
In high school, it was probably 3 of my 4 English teachers. In college, it was my choir director Margaret and my advisor Cindy. Cindy kicked my butt around until I got my major finished. We still keep in touch.

3rd Birthdays

My mind was so occupied this weekend that I forgot that Meditatio’s 3rd birthday was on Saturday. Before she finally settled on Meditatio, she was “Agape”, a Livejournal, and “My World As It Is Sung”.

Peacefulwaters.Org turned 3 years old on July 3rd.

I should like so have made a cake graphic or something…

**UPDATE** I just uploaded a bunch of my archives from February-March 2001 and February-April 2002.

No Internet Access

I currently have no Internet access because my IP is having wire problems or something. I’m blogging from Jon’s computer at the church. If you need to reach me in the next few days, email me at jen [at] peaceful, and I’ll have Jon check when he goes into the church office.

This isn’t bad because I’ve been trying to write a blog entry offline and it’s been difficult. I can focus on that entry this weekend since I’m not sure they’ll have anything fixed before Monday.

Layouts

The red layout with many languages was a special one-day Pentecost layout. If you missed it and would like to see it and the full entry from yesterday, click here.

This new layout is for Ordinary Time — the period between Trinity Sunday (which will be on the 15th) and Christ the King Sunday (last Sunday before Advent starts). I chose a dark blue color because I’m an indigo fan and I’m hoping the text colors are easy enough to read. The leaf picture works pretty well for the colors.

I may get sick of the layout in September and make a fall one — I just don’t know. Pentecost/Ordinary Time is a long season.
