Being a Copycat

Rachel, the question-asking kiwi, invited people to ask her questions (within reason) and promised answers. I thought her answer entries were cool, so… I wanted to try it. Leave your questions in the comments section. One caveat: keep them decent because I’m not answering questions about my availability (VERY much taken) or my bra size or anything like that.

Domesticated

Domesticated, my domestic arts blog, is back up. However, the URL is now http://www.peacefulwaters.org/domesticated instead of the old subdomain-style one because I had to downgrade it to just a directory on my site. Please update links and bookmarks accordingly.

-The management

Jen is a sheep

I decided to be a sheep and follow the herd of people that have a WeatherPixie on their page. She’s on the right hand side and hopefully is as modest as I am in dress. (If she’s not, I might have to switch pixies.)

I just wanna be a sheep. Baa baa baa baa!

Transfer Successful

Everything is successfully transferred over. I know I lost 3 comments on the last post, so please re-visit it if you commented. (I think the ones I lost were Muhajabah, Dave, and Leenie.)

Muchos gracias to Krissy for helping with with PHPMy Admin, navigating Cyberpixels, and helping with my config file even though you were also trying to get caught up on laundry. You are an awesome webchica!

News

For those who have been emailing me, yes… Richard is alive. (I spoke to him by phone.) He was ill, has (inasfar as I know) mostly recovered, and is hammering out his thesis which needs to be to the readers within about the next… 10 days or so. Does this satify those who have been asking me? 🙂

Two Things

Two things:

1.) I am creating my Easter layout right now. I found the perfect picture for it and I’m enjoying being able to the A-word/H-word again for that purpose. (I figure I’ll be singing it later this week when I start prepping choir music for Easter Sunday. The name of the page doesn’t use it but it will creep into a hymn that I’m using for the main page.

2.) I’m in the process of changing hosts (and am waiting for login stuff from my new host so I can start transferring stuff) and I’m thinking of starting a group blog called “Domesticated” for those who are interested in the domestic arts of cooking, sewing, crocheting, knitting, cross-stitch, etc. This is *NOT* to compete with Chicks with Sticks but rather to provide another outlet for that kind of stuff that maybe is a little broader. (I am a big fan of Chicks with Sticks and a somewhat regular contributor. I’d like to keep it in existence thankyouverymuch.) Any thoughts, comments, snide remarks on this?
