I was up late with a cranky little bear and I saw the tail end of a PBS special on them. They were performing “The First of My Lovers” and it was AMAZING. The music was breathtaking but what made it “beyond words” was the two soloists had the most joyful expressions on their faces. That joy would have been incredibly contagious throughout the concert hall and I wish I lived in Austin, TX so I could see them perform.

This young man is sociopathic. He doesn’t feel any remorse for the crimes he has committed that now span multiple US states and at least 3 countries. Why oh why are you rewarding his behavior by “liking” him on Facebook or friending him?

It’s probably just me, but how is rioting about the conviction going to help? Violence doesn’t solve anything.
A Fun Idea
I saw on Fizleglitz yesterday that Lauren got a Postcrossing postcard from Poland. It looked like a cool idea so I signed up, got five addresses, and sent out postcards to Belarus, Canada, Russia, Taiwan, and Norway. I am really looking forward to seeing the places from which my postcards arrive.
A Brilliant Idea
The news in the last few weeks has been consumed with the thwarted terrorist attack on Christmas Day on Flight 253 from Amsterdam to Detroit. There’s been speculation on where the breakdown was, why he was allowed into the US, and all that jazz.
While I think that the major problem was at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam (which could have prevented him getting on the freaking plane if they had done the normal security searches on him) and that Janet Napolitano is wrong (the system DIDN’T work), I have an idea for all the people and pundits in Washington:
STOP THE MONDAY MORNING QUARTERBACKING AND DO SOMETHING TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING NEXT TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t give a flying rat’s butt about whether or not Obama was right or wrong in his reaction. This guy should have been on a no-fly list and someone in the intelligence community screwed up. Rather than pontificating, FIX IT.

Today a news reporter interviewed an anarchist in a black mask protesting the G20 summit. He was holding a â??œDown with Capitalismâ??? sign. When asked where he got the supplies he responded â??œWalmart and Target, but I had to get the Paint at Home Depotâ??? IMMD
Having attended a school with anti-capitalistas and anarchists, I just had to laugh.Â? I do sympathize with them to a degree but I did have to laugh.
