Blizzards and Christian Radio

We had a mini blizzard around here, especially up on the border on Wednesday.Â? Being the complete idiot I am, I persevered and made it to work even though most of the people who live in the small town south of the border chose not to come in.Â? (It was pretty well complete white-out for the last 5 miles.Â? Even the TOW TRUCKS were pulling over.)Â? I made it through my 8 hour shift… only to get magnificently STUCK in the parking lot while trying to get out.Â? (We’re talking an hour to get me unstuck as well as getting another person stuck in a drift trying to avoid me.)Â? During all of this, we discovered that my front tires were completely bald so I was ordered to GET NEW TIRES THE NEXT MORNING.

Well… I had a lovely cuddle with Stupid (the kitty who lives at the co-op down the hill from us) while I waited for one of the people to figure out how to get the tires there and finally decided to take Jon’s car so that I wouldn’t have to make up too much time.Â? So… I actually had a working radio and got to listen to some awesome music.Â? One of the songs that was most poignant was “Song of Solomon” by Sara Groves which unfortunately isn’t on Napster (!!!!) so the album containing it is now on my wishlist.Â? I got probably half an hour of music before it went into Christian talk programming (which isn’t my thing).

So… there was some benefit to my misadventures on Wednesday.

Februaryness

OK… so Lent is in it’s first full week and I neglected to post on Ash Wednesday and all my Lenten schtuff.Â? Bad khouria!!!Â? No cookie!!!

I’m off soda until Easter (which also happens to be MY ANNIVERSARY), I’m doing some devotional reading, and I’m hoping to get a baby blanket made for Project Linus.Â? The only problem: my fingers are tired at the end of the day from typing and doing paperwork.

My commute to work has been… interesting with all the snow and ice that comes during winter in Big Sky Country.Â? Nothing too major has happened but please continue praying for travel mercies for me.

Other than that, I’m my normal introspective self and will write a decent post when I can translate the things on my heart into words.
