Flattened (I)

I signed the paperwork for Daniel to be put on the heart-lung machine (ECMO) about half an hour ago or so.

Yes, it is seriously that bad.

I’m completely flattened. I threw up my dinner and I don’t know that I can eat again for a long time.

I’m simultaneously thoroughly pissed off at God and trusting Him to get us through this.

I’m just at the end of things.

FOR TODAY February 21, 2011

Outside my window… Sunny and chilly. I got spoiled by southern California — I need to grow a winter coat!

I am thinking… that it’s worth it to have Daniel tear up the kitchen in order to get this post done. I’m also thinking that the table cloth and pretty arrangement are going to be gone imminently because he likes to pull on them.

I am thankful for… naptime. Enough said.

From the kitchen… Kraft Deluxe Mac n’ Cheese. Yes, it’s horrifically bad for me. It was also what I craved this morning.

I am wearing… light green v-neck shirt, black sweats.

I am creating… this entry. Also formulating an interesting idea for NaNoWriMo. Too bad that it isn’t until November.

I am going… to the store for diapers right after I write this.

I am reading… nothing at the moment. Also going to stop at the library.

I am hoping… that this two year old molar teething stops soon for Daniel.

I am hearing… Daniel wailing. His fangs hurt.

Around the house… boxes still abound but we’re working on it.

One of my favorite things… Cullen being a snuggle kitty at night.

A few plans for the rest of the week: unpacking as much as I can when I can.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing… Daniel’s new nursery

FOR TODAY February 14, 2011

Outside my window… Sunny and warm. It’s supposed to get rainy for moving day though. 🙁

I am thinking… about all the stuff that still needs to be done before Thursday.

I am thankful for… getting so much done so far and for my mother-in-law who is helping tremendously by baby-sitting Daniel.

From the kitchen… lots of Trader Joe’s frozen food.

I am wearing… jeans, my Army green shirt, running shoes

I am creating… this entry. 🙂 Oh yes… also boxes of stuff and bags to go to charity.

I am going… to Target when I’m done with this. To northern California on Friday.

I am reading… The Alpine Nemesis by Mary Daheim. (Re-reading actually.)

I am hoping… the move goes off without a hitch.

I am hearing… Fernando Ortega through my earbuds (which are turned up loudly enough to block out everyone else at $tarbux).

Around the house… chaos and boxes.

One of my favorite things… Daniel’s smile in the morning when I go to get him from his crib.

A few plans for the rest of the week: MOVING on Thursday. Last PT/OT appointment on Wednesday. Hopefully the zoo tomorrow.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing… Me holding Daniel for the first time on April 25, 2009. He was almost 3 weeks old and FINALLY off the ventilator.

FOR TODAY February 7, 2011

Outside my window… sunny and warm. Ordinarily I’d rail against this being unnatural, but it’s good weather for storage and packing to move.

I am thinking… about the debate on married priests at Simcha’s blog.

I am thankful for… my mother-in-law watching Daniel so I can pack, throw stuff away and try to get life arranged for the next week.

From the kitchen… Trader Joe’s tomato soup and pastry bites.

I am wearing… jeans, a green v-neck short-sleeved shirt, and flip-flops.

I am creating… this blog entry. 🙂

I am going… various places — Target when I’m done here.

I am reading… Bone Appetit by Carolyn Haines

I am hoping… that I can get the whole kitchen DONE by this weekend.

I am hearing… podcasts.

Around the house… boxes and garbage bags abound.

One of my favorite things… TJ’s iced tea-lemonade

A few plans for the rest of the week: packing, PT/OT, choir practice, and packing. Did I mention packing?
