Easter Joy!

Now the green blade rises from the buried grain,
Wheat that in the dark earth many years has lain;
Love lives again, that with the dead has been:
Love is come again, like wheat that springs up green.

In the grave they laid Him, Love Whom we had slain,
Thinking that Heâ????d never wake to life again,
Laid in the earth like grain that sleeps unseen:
Love is come again, like wheat that springs up green.

Up He sprang at Easter, like the risen grain,
He that for three days in the grave had lain;
Up from the dead my risen Lord is seen:
Love is come again, like wheat that springs up green.

When our hearts are saddened, grieving or in pain,
By Your touch You call us back to life again;
Fields of our hearts that dead and bare have been:
Love is come again, like wheat that springs up green.

Palm Sunday

I worshipped at Church #1 this morning and got to be part of the processional with palms. Quite fun. 🙂

I helped with worship at the local prison this afternoon. I was not feeling well but I went anyway and it was worth it. Taking communion with 45 convicts drives home the reality that everyone is a sinner REAL FAST.

Now a hymn for today…

All glory, laud and honor,
To Thee, Redeemer, King,
To Whom the lips of children
Made sweet hosannas ring.

Thou art the King of Israel,
Thou David’s royal Son,
Who in the Lord’s Name comest,
The King and Blessd One.

All glory, laud and honor,
To Thee, Redeemer, King,
To Whom the lips of children
Made sweet hosannas ring.

The company of angels
Are praising Thee on High,
And mortal men and all things
Created make reply.

All glory, laud and honor,
To Thee, Redeemer, King,
To Whom the lips of children
Made sweet hosannas ring.

The people of the Hebrews
With palms before Thee went;
Our prayer and praise and anthems
Before Thee we present.

All glory, laud and honor,
To Thee, Redeemer, King,
To Whom the lips of children
Made sweet hosannas ring.

To Thee, before Thy passion,
They sang their hymns of praise;
To Thee, now high exalted,
Our melody we raise.

All glory, laud and honor,
To Thee, Redeemer, King,
To Whom the lips of children
Made sweet hosannas ring.

Thou didst accept their praises;
Accept the prayers we bring,
Who in all good delightest,
Thou good and gracious King.

All glory, laud and honor,
To Thee, Redeemer, King,
To Whom the lips of children
Made sweet hosannas ring.

Lazy Days

It’s grey and cold outside so there’s a part of me that would have preferred to stay in bed today and not get up.Â? Didn’t happen though.

Last night, I decided to move my Blogathon site over here.Â? I was able to transfer over entries but not comments.Â? Such is life.Â? The site that was at PW.Org is now dead.Â? Having it at the new spot means that I can publicize it a bit more without having it tie back to any of my personal sites.Â? (I’m trying to avoid getting dooced like I did in September 2005.)

It’s about 8:00 here and there’s nothing on TV of interest (otherwise, I’d curl up with crocheting) and I’m trying to make it until 10 before I go to sleep.

Tomorrow is Palm Sunday.Â? It should *hopefully* be interesting… right?

Life

There hasn’t been much that I’ve done that’s really noteworthy lately.Â? It seems strange to not be able to have anything to blog about but… life is quiet (for the moment).

Next week is Holy Week and I’ll probably have stuff going on then.

5 Years!!!!

It’s hard to believe that 5 years ago I was standing in the sanctuary of the Episcopal Church in Almaden in a white dress pledging my life to my betrothed.Â? Duuude!!!

I had a bit of an eventful morning trying to corral the cats while Jon and I dealt with a bird that had gotten into the house.Â? Even though we had windows open, the bird kept flying into the glass and bouncing off.Â? Your natural selection tax dollars are at work here in Big Sky Country!!!!

For our “utterly romantic date”, we had a late lunch… at Pizza Hut.Â? OK… I know we have a supper club on the way to town and we should go out but it’s Friday and I can’t do meat, so we had a nice vegetarian lunch.Â? We also went grocery shopping and I filled out some job apps.

My present to myself: the Family Circle Easy Crocheting magazine.Â? It has a bunch of MUST MAKE patterns and I also found some awesome ones online here.

What A Night To Be Up Doing Taxes

It’s 2:00 am here in Big Sky Country which means it’s the day of my anniversary.

Jon and I worked on taxes until 11.Â? We’re theoretically getting a refund for a change.Â? Woohoo.Â? I’m deciding whether I want to apply it toward our estimates (and not have quite as much to come up with on April 15th) or if I want to just spend it and torture myself to come up with the estimates.
