An ethical question (and we will not discuss the ethics of this person): should former presidents have to serve jury duty? The news story on this was well-written and quite humerous.

lol. that is funny. i think it’s good that he is good-humoured about it.
i don’t really think that former presidents should sit on juries simply because it seems it would really distract the court proceedings. i think they could be fair and all that, but i’m just not sure how the people would react.
then again, that would mean that big movie stars shouldn’t serve on juries either…so that sets a bad precedent. hmmm…
so i’m not sure, but it was an interesting article!
I agree with the Judge that it would detract from the trial. I does lead to the too famous to serve argument though.
