Cat-Proofing A Christmas Tree

We just got the ornaments out of the closet and already Freya is trying to steal them! Any ideas on how to catproof a Christmas tree that do not involve dogs or barbed wire? 🙂

  1. There is nothing! on the bottom two feet of our tree this year. After waking up to 4 broken ornaments I moved everything up. Yes it looks weird, I’m just glad the tree wasn’t plugged in when one of the cats chewed through the wire for the lights!

  2. chili powder sprinkled on the lower branches – something like that. unless they like spicy food, in which case you’d be sunk.
