A Book Suggestion for Mitford Fans

If you like Jan Karon’s books about Mitford and Father Tim, you need to read the Dearest Dorothy books.? I was introduced to them last year when I got them out of a box of books that Mom had brought me 6 months earlier and I had to order #4 when it came out.? I just got #5 today and devoured it.? I’m re-reading it of course but seriously… it’s a good series.

I’m also really impressed with how accurately Charlene Ann Baumbich (the author) portrays small town life.Â? I can actually see everything happening having lived in a town of comparable size and she even portrayed the thoughts of the pastor’s wife accurately.

So put these on your wishlist for Christmas! They are soooo worth reading!!!

  1. Thank you! Bless you for talking about my little circle-the-square town of Partonville in such a kind and enthusiastic way! I was looking for some other reference to “Dearest Dorothy, Merry Everything” and Googled upon your blog since my name was mentioned. OH! I am so encouraged by your kindness. PLUS, I’m *truly* enjoying reading your posts. You, my dear, can WRITE, and I love your spunk, humor and especially your honesty! I do believe we’d get along FABULOUSLY! FYI, Dorothy #6 is coming next fall, so stay tuned. I do believe the pastor’s wife is making another appearance. ;>)
