Thanks be to God! Happy Pentecost, Jen. I saw your comment on Eucharis’ site about wanting to go to UW and going instead to UCSC! I’m a banana slug myself. Graduated in ’95 from Porter, and now I commute past UW every morning here in Seattle…
🙂 i miss ucsc so much. i’m in the crown class of 2001 myself (though i actually entered with the class of 2002) and though i dreamed of going to the uw, i’m thankful i ended up at ucsc. the Lord did so much work in me there and while it would have been nice to be closer to my extended family in the pacific northwest, going to a school of 30,000 probably wasn’t the best thing for me.
my parents are husky alums btw. 🙂
Psst. Your Serbo-Croatian for “Holy Spirit” is in the wrong case. “Duha Svetoga” is genitive. You want “Duh Sveti” which is the nominative.
oops!
only you would get that. 🙂
The Lord did work on me at UCSC, but in vague ways. I was one of the leaders of the earth spirituality group on campus until mid-sophomore year, and then I was looking into Judaism my last year and a half (because of a woman, naturally) (and her parents, who weren’t crazy about the idea of their daughter dating a goy).
so how did you become part of the frozen chosen?
