The Seattle Coffee Klatsch

Seattle P-I: Seattle throws a tea party to fight java tax

Taking a leaf from the pages of what happened 227 years ago and 3000 miles away, are we? If I hadn’t seen that Seattle is indeed very serious about their coffee, I probably wouldn’t believe this.

I’m thinking that it’s going to be a tough toss-up between Minnesota and Washington as to where we want to be assigned on September 18th.

About Jen

Jen isn't quite sure when she lost her mind, but it is probably documented here on Meditatio. She blogs because the world needs her snark at all hours of the night... and she probably can't sleep anyway.

  1. In the immortal words of George Santyana, “Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” Taxation without representation – especially with ludicrous ideas of who is “represented” by the tax – will continue to be an injustice by all those who fight for freedom and liberty, whether in 1776 or 2003.
