OK… those of you who link to me got the email asking you to please (pleasepleasepleaseplease) change the link from /magnificat to /meditatio. Here’s the explanation:
The Move
I had been planning to go back to using /meditatio for a long time after the [site who must not be named] fiasco last August. /magnificat was just a temporary blog which I was going to upgrade eventually to MT. Well… Krissy talked me out of it and convinced me that b2 would be good. I’d used b2 for Chicks with Sticks and Proverbial Women and really liked the platform. Krissy graciously installed it for me and then went on AIM to be my tech support. I got the layout up a few days later. All my archives from /magnificat have been imported and God willing, my archives from /narnia and the old /meditatio can also be imported.
The Layout
The background is green because I’m trying to keep with liturgical colors and since it’s Epiphany, the colors are green and white. The site is just a bunch of tables. Props to nessahead from the b2 forums for the coding for a unique template. And of course, props to the Duckie Goddess herself for fielding my frantic emails and being so helpful.
Oh yes… if your link to me points to /magnificat, please change it to /meditatio as soon as you can. Thanks!
What do you think of b2? I have contemplated switching from MovableType on and off for a while now. What were you using before?
