Why I Support Gun Control

Police name suspect in Ohio highway shootings

They say that police believe he has acquired another gun. Oh joy. The superintendent of the school district where the school was shot at is the bell choir director at the church where Jon did his internship. This wasn’t just a random thing that happened in central Ohio — it affected a lot of people.

  1. i can see the arguments for gun control, especially for the kind where we just outlaw the sale of handguns. however, i’m just not sure that it would help things the way we hope it would. there are areas of this country where every citizen is required to own a gun (and register it i’m guessing and know how to use it), and in those towns, there is little to no gun violence. same with certain european countries. i have to agree with michael moore in bowling for columbine; it’s our culture of fear and anger that causes gun violence. it doesn’t seem that gun control would fix that. but if it would, then i would definitely for it.

  2. Perhaps if you outlawed the production of guns, it would help this situation; however, gun control rarely keeps guns out of the hands of criminals.

  3. Gun control isn’t the answer. Control the people that shouldn’t have the guns. We have enough laws about guns, they just are not enforced. Enforce them before you make more laws. If your mom said I am going to spank you if you eat that candy, and you never get punished when you eat it, they the rule doesn’t matter.
    Enforce laws!
