For Today… September 18, 2017
Looking out my window… grey and rainy. In other words, absolutely beautiful out there. We’re needing it here in Washington because of the forest fires.
I am thinking… about my classes as this is my first day of the quarter.
I am thankful… to get to start class again and that they’re all online this quarter so I have the flexibility to schedule doctor’s appointments.
One of my favorite things… the smells in the forest after a good rainstorm.
I am wearing… a blue-green fitted tee and black jeans. I’m barefoot as almost always.
I am creating… introductory discussion session posts for my classes.
I am listening to… a playlist of Audrey Assad and a few other musicians.
I am hoping… to get a little bit ahead this week on all my classes.
I am learning… the basics of SAGE 50.
In my kitchen… leftover Jimmy chicken from last night.
In the school room… Daniel continues doing well in his class and loving school.
Post Script… a blog post from Rachel Held Evans on six words you need to hear today.
Shared Quote… “When you’re young, faith is often a matter of rules. What you should do and shouldn’t do, that kind of thing. But as you get older, you realize that faith is really a matter of relationship – with God, with the people around you, with the members of your community.” — Rhoda Jantzen
A moment from my day… My “first day of school” pic. 🙂
Closing Notes: Something for all of us “mommy bloggers” here.
