Enough Already!!!

To the universe:

I’m really happy about getting the ENT appointment poste haste and all that but..

What is with the 2 friends of mine getting divorced and the 3 friends having serious spiritual crises?Â? Could we stop raining on my friends just because things are good for me!?!?!?!?

Snuggles,

OMG… Jen Posts Again!!!

I have two days off in a row where I’m not completely brain dead or busy during both so you’re actually getting a decent amount of posting.

What I’ve Done Today
-sleep in
-put a theme on this site to replace the one that fell apart weeks ago
-pondered what to do for Blogathon and revamped my Blogathon site
-brushed Mr. Fluffy

I’m headed to take another nap and chill now.

Sacred Places

I’ve been downloading some podcasts from CBC lately and one of them was talking about sacred places. (It’s the “Best of BC” episode from May 10th.) It was interesting to hear the author of the book talking about the concept of it and how it differs for each person. They mentioned Haida Gwai as one that would be pretty obvious and places like the Parliament Lawn and folk festivals as places that wouldn’t be so obvious. So… my sacred places are:

[+] the redwood forests of northern California
[+] Greene Point Rapids (where my grandparents used to have their cabin) in British Columbia
[+] the Sweet Grass Hills
[+] a quiet church with the sunlight streaming through the stained glass

Where are YOUR sacred places?

Sigh…

This should be common knowledge but…

You really shouldn’t comment on a woman’s pregnancy unless you know for certain that she’s pregnant.Â? Just sayin’.

(Of course someone didn’t comment to me yesterday about the reason I looked sick being that the first pregnancy is always the hardest.Â? Nooooo… And of course I didn’t have to resist the urge to throw one of the clinic chairs at them.)

On the other hand, my sinuses are finally decongesting and I’m not pondering the idea of stabbing them out with screwdrivers at the moment.Â? (My ears on the other hand…)

Some Sage Advice

I’m having issues with my laptop so I called my tech support person (a.k.a. my mommy) who gave me the following words of encouragement:

“There is no computer problem that cannot be solved with 300 feet of salt water.”

How true.

Meanwhile, I’m going to go stab my sinuses out with a screwdriver.Â? Carry on.
