OK… my Thanksgiving:
-singing “Earth and All Stars” for worship
-being with family
-being able to get spumoni
-mushroom risotto for lunch followed by more spumoni
-having wicked nausea/cramps during worship on Wednesday night
-the [insert nasty word] who drove for 40 miles behind me tonight with his bleeping brights on
-the headache from person mentioned above
-almost hitting Bambi last night
-the number of people at Wal-Mart on Thanksgiving night!!!!! (this wasn’t even for Black Friday)
-Fred and Loogy (my aunt and uncle’s cats)
-the fleece I got at Wal-Mart to make into blankies for Project Linus in honor of my parents for Christmas
For the first time in 6 years, I will be spending Thanksgiving with part of MY family. (It’s the first time in 5 years that we’ve spent it with either of our families.) After worship (which is in like 30 minutes), we’ll pack and head south to Great Falls. My aunt and I will cook. Jon will replace the taillights on the Volvo. (He who smashes them out fixes them. :P)
Tomorrow I will go torture the nice people at Joann Fabric on Black Friday and get the fleece for two Project Linus blankies. (I already have one crocheted.)
So… Happy Thanksgiving to all and hopefully all y’all who are travelling get to wherever you are going safely.
Jon’s little cousin Libby is in the ICU with asthma problems. Please pray that she gets better.
I’m off to make a get well card for her!
Congratulations are in order for my sister-in-law Joanna who just got admitted to the TESOL program at Cal State – Northridge. She got her B.A. in Linguistics from Pitzer College in 2004.
My daddy sent this to me. I needed the laugh.
I’m going to go have some ginger ale so I can be a fox in socks with detox on the rocks.
Yes, I promise to mix some Valium into his ginger ale. The pun was so awful that I actually turned my computer back on to blog this.
