The Zithromax is kicking in and I managed to get by with only one co-pay. (My stupid prescription insurance only gives me 4 pills when the normally prescribed dosage is 5. I had one left over from the meds I had before surgery in June, so I have my 5 pills and only had to pay for 4 of them.) I’m starting to feel a little better though death is still looking preferable because of the freaking post nasal drip in my throat. For asthmatics like me, it feels like someone has stuffed a wet towel down my throat.

Re New Orleans mayor in the previous post (yes, I know you closed comments on it, but I have a couple of cents to toss in anyway…) I don’t think he’s as shiny and happy as folks are making him out to be. Yes, Bush ^&#$-ed up majorly in handling the response. But the mayor called for a mandatory evacuation, but then didn’t provide a way for folks with no way to get out of the city. did you see the pics of the hundreds of flooded busses that were near the convention center that weren’t utilized at all? How can you order a MANDATORY evacuation then not provide a way to get the poor, elderly, homeless and ill out of harm’s way? I just think there was poor planning on ALL levels of govt. before and after the hurricane…
i think people screwed up in general on this one.
ok… all further comments need to be on topic.
