Well.. it’s -11F here, so I think all my pressing errands can wait! (Not to mention the fact that Jon would get getting yelled at on Sunday for leaving his poor wife alone to trudge through the snow in subzero temperatures for her basic needs. Well… until they realized that I do it because I’m too stubborn and independent to call people.)
My thundering feline herd woke me up at 6:45 this morning, so I decided to get up and start my day. I did devotions (ohmigosh! Jen is actually *doing devotions* first thing in the morning! Someone call CNN!!!), prayed for some of the people in the church, and went back to bed to chill for awhile. A little ebony creature curled up on top of me and started purring, so I started getting warm and sleepy. Add on the two massive feline stallions who were curled up on Jon’s side of the bed (because of course, Jon is gone and they have my full attention — the way it should be!) and the gremlin snuggled up next to me purring (and she has a motor that is about 10 times as big as she is). Yeah… Jen went back to sleep and was awakened by the phone at 9:30. The caller apologized and said that she thought it was Jon’s office hours. I politely reminded her that Jon is away rolling with his homies at a CE retreat. The phone rang about 4 more times after that, making me think I should probably get out of bed.
I have two feline stallions begging for my affections. One wants his belly rubbed, the other wants the base of his tail scratched, and neither will let me work on the other at the same time. Finian is my kitty (I frequently remind him that he is the most important man in my life — Jon understands) and Cullen has realized that his daddy is not going to give him attention for a little while, so he’s going after me. *sighs* It’s so nice to be wooed by two different men…
Off I go to clean cat boxes, shower, unpack some more of the boxes cluttering my study, and deal with my lemurpusses!
