Spaying

My girls both goet spayed yesterday and Freya got her rabies shot. We dropped them off at 8:15 and got them back again at 5. Both were really inebriated from the anesthesia when we got them home and I actually had Freya draped across my lap on the way. Freya mostly slept last night. Edda wanted to be active, but she had no control of her bladder (thank heavens for Resolve Pet/Stain Formula!) and she couldn’t walk without falling over. She did manage to escape the study and try to run down to the basement, but ended up falling head-over-paws down the stairs. After that, I wrapped her in a towel and stuck her on my lap. She slept and chilled for two hours with me and every time she’d wake up and get antsy, I’d just stroke her until she calmed down. She slept the night and was her normal lovey self this morning. Freya has actually been extra cuddly and lovey. (We think it’s the “maybe-if-I’m-nice-they-won’t-do-this-to-me-again” sentiment.)

The boys are very angry because the girls smell weird and they think we brought home two new cats. Cullen actually (true to his nature) has come around and started bathing the girls. Finian continues to be a hissy puss and I’ve tried explaining to him that if he hates how they smell, he should bathe them himself. CATS!

About Jen

Jen isn't quite sure when she lost her mind, but it is probably documented here on Meditatio. She blogs because the world needs her snark at all hours of the night... and she probably can't sleep anyway.
