“My Song Is Love Unknown” by Fernando Ortega. I love that he doesn’t shy away from the verses on the Crucifixion.
“O Sacred Head Now Wounded” by Fernando Ortega. This one gets sung a lot by everyone on Good Friday.
“Now We Join In Celebration”. This is my favorite ELCA communion hymn.
“Were You There When They Crucified My Lord?” This is another one we sing often on Good Friday.
“Jesus, In Your Dying Woes” There are 21 verses of this. During Tenebrae services in the ELCA, we would sing 3 verses after each of the 7 “last words” of Christ.
“When I Survey the Wondrous Cross” by Fernando Ortega. This is another one that gets sung quite a bit this week.
