HP7 Spoilers

Just a warning to anyone who wants to send me spoilers:

SENDING ME **ANYTHING** RELATED TO HP7 BEFORE JULY 28TH WILL CAUSE ME TO INFLICT SUFFERING OF BIBLICAL PROPORTIONS UPON YOU.

Just so we’re clear…

Thursday Blogathon PUSH

OK… this is how it’s going to work:

I’m going to take a well-known bible passage and translate it verse-by-verse into different languages like this. Y’all can leave guesses in the comments as to what it is and the first person to guess it gets a $10 sponsorship (if they’re a ‘thonner) or a $10 donation to the charity of their choice (if they’re not a ‘thonner). The post will be up around 10:30 am EDT (7:30 am PDT — extrapolate from there) on the day of the Blogathon.

Here are the rules:

-No putting verses through Babelfish or any translation software.
-No looking at other guesses before making yours.
-No google searches.

Pleurisy

I called in this morning and told them that I needed to be seen because it hurt to breathe.Â? I would probably have gotten a quicker appointment than 2:00 pm if I’d mentioned that I was severely asthmatic but oh well.Â? The FNP listened to me and went to check with her MD who told her that it was probably pleurisy but to do an EKG in case it was pericarditis.Â? The EKG was stunningly good so… lots of albuterol and some Aleve to make the pain go away.Â? I expected them to nebulize me but that will probably happen if it gets worse.

According to Pisco, all I need is consumption and cholera and I’ll be a true Victorian-era invalid.Â? Oh yes… I also need to practice holding my wrist to my forehead and fainting onto settees.Â? Given that in Victorian times I’d be wearing a corset, I could soooooo see that happening!

The News From Here

Fair starts on Thusday and I need to take my entries in tomorrow.Â? I’m bringing an afghan and a string bag for the Household Arts division.Â? I don’t think I’ll have much competition but hey… you never know.

I’m also looking forward to Saturday’s release of HP7.Â? I’m not quite into counting down hours and minutes yet (maybe because I just have a lot to do first) but I am pretty excited.Â? I’m also hoping that they actually deliver it here on Saturday — I will be SOOOOOO cross if I have to wait until Monday!

Meanwhile, it’s bloody hot.Â? It’s not as bad as Saturday when it was 102 in town but it’s up there.Â? I’m hoping things cool down soon — Blogathon is going to be miserable otherwise as my DSL is on the third floor of the house and it can get pretty nasty up there.Â?Â? The cats are all lying around like furry deflated balloons though Edda is bonding with me upstairs having some “sauna time”.Â? I have a fan on up here but it’s just not comfortable.

Blogathon: Being One of Jen’s Cheerleaders

I know that money is pretty tight for some of you right now and I have an offer for those who want to give but can’t:

I need cheerleaders! As one of “Jen’s cheerleaders”, you promote my Blogathon on your site. I’ll send you an awesome button that says “I am Jen’s cheerleader!” and all you need to do is link it to my Blogathon site. On the day of the Blogathon, you do an entry on your blog about what I’m doing and show your super awesome button.

Leave me a comment if you’re interested!

How Hot Is It?

It’s so hot that…

-Weatherbug turned red in my sidebar.
-The weather widget on Firefox showed a thermometer on fire.
-My fan shut itself off from overheating.
-My laptop is shutting itself off randomly.
-The cats are looking like furry deflated balloons.
-I’m tempted to eat a tub and a half of ice cream because it’s something cold. (Probably good that I don’t keep ice cream in the house.)
-My body has a wall of water cascading down it.
-You could likely bake bread outside if you left it for long enough.

I’m soooooo looking forward to things cooling down 20-30 degrees tomorrow!
