Men in Trees

[in best fan-girl voice]

Like OMG, I watched Men in Trees tonight and it was, like, soooooo good!Â? Highlights were:

  • Marin trying to use the example of ordering a soy lattÃ? in a talk to a bunch of backwoods Alaskan guys.
  • Her trying to shoot down the wildlife biologist who really doesn’t give a rat’s butt about flirting with her.
  • THE RACCOON!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Her EXTREME FAN-GIRL STALKER taking the bus up to Alaska from Vancouver to cheer her up.
  • The incredibly geeky innkeeper who hooks up with EXTREME FAN-GIRL STALKER and the two of them finding out that they know each other from online.
  • Her trying to get cell phone reception — I SOOOOOOOOO relate!!!!!!!!!!!!Â? (It’s a joke out here because only in various small towns and up along the Canadian border can you mildly get reception.)

So anyway… I have a new show to get all fan-girly (fan-girlish?) over and… yeah.Â? (Trying not to end a sentence with a preposition can be a pain.)

Do They Know Where I Live?!?!?!?!?

From MoveOn.Org:

In 2004, we had parties where we got together and used our cell phones to call voters. Folks told us they had an awesome time. So we’re doing it again. We know there are a bunch of people in [small town where Jen lives] who are interested in coming if there’s a host. Can you step up to the plate?

OK… I live in a town of 10 people, only 9 of whom are old enough to vote. Of us, I think there are only 3 Democrats. So… exactly who is this “bunch of people”?

(You know you live in a small town when the entire town and extended family get together to watch fireworks and y’all can fit on someone’s deck.)

Also… don’t you need cell phone reception to have a calling party?Â? Exactly WHERE are they getting good enough reception around here?!?!?!?!?

Pourquoi?

I’m feeling icky from the yuckiness that is either:

a.) a migraine
b.) a sinus infection
c.) the crud that’s going around

Since I need some cheering up, could y’all like leave me a comment about why you read this blog? I know I’m being a drama queen, but it would make me feel better…
