Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY October 25, 2010

Outside my window… it’s starting to clear after being wet this morning.

I am thinking… of all the stuff that has to be done this next month.

I am thankful for… Victoria taking care of Daniel this morning so I can get things done.

From the kitchen… whatever I got from TJ’s this week.

I am wearing… black sweatshirt and black soccer sweats.

I am creating… characters for my NaNoWriMo piece.

I am going… to puke from all the stress of this week.

I am reading… Margaret Maron novels.

I am hoping… Daniel gets approved for therapy through the Regional Center and that we can get him back on SSI for the developmental delays.

I am hearing… Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me through my earbuds.

Around the house… I’ve got to clean up messes from the cats.

One of my favorite things… is cuddles with Daniel.

A few plans for the rest of the week: evals for the Regional Center this afternoon, therapy on Wednesday and Friday, and Jon coming home on Friday.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing… no picture this week due to lack of time.

NaNoWriMo 2010

NaNoWriMo has come around again and in an effort to make my 30 days of writing mean something, I’ve decided to kill people off (or just write a character with your name into the story) for a donation. Here’s how it works:

Date: October 15th to November 30th (NaNoWriMo runs from November 1-30.)

Charity: March of Dimes

How This Works: Here is the link to Daniel’s band on the March of Dimes site. Click on that link to donate. I’ll check the band daily for who has donated. I don’t care if it’s a large or small amount. If you donate, I’ll write you into the story by either killing you off in the manner in which you choose (with some restrictions) or by naming a character after you. Once you donate, leave me a comment and let me know how you want to die/if you want a character named after you.

Restrictions: No ritual cannibalism. I reserve the right to veto the method of death if I find it too gruesome. (Ahem… Pisco.)

Update: I have a widget where you can see my progress.

Why Am I Not Surprised?

It’s come out that Karl Rove and his minions have been behind a bunch of attack ads put on by shell organizations like “The US Chamber of Commerce” that is attacking Barbara Boxer here in California. Oh… and apparently Obama is singling them out for outrage.

Let’s see… funneling MASSIVE amounts of cash into tax-deductible organizations to do your dirty work. How is this not morally wrong?

I should have known that the Prince of Darkness (not Dick Cheney) would be behind this!

Oh yeah… I’ve already voted so could we please get the freaking attack ads off the TV here in California? NOW!!!! Please?
