Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY November 29, 2010

Outside my window… sunshine and chilly.

I am thinking… about all the stuff I have ahead of me this week.

I am thankful for… the time with my family.

From the kitchen… whatever I can scrounge up.

I am wearing… a black shirt and jeans.

I am creating… nothing at the moment.

I am going… back up north today.

I am reading… In the Company of Others by Jan Karon.

I am hoping… the things on my mind resolve.

I am hearing… the fish tank behind me.

Around the house… I probably have messes from the cats to clean up.

One of my favorite things… Daniel’s laugh.

A few plans for the rest of the week: driving home tomorrow, testing for a job on Wednesday, WIC appointment on Thursday, and PT/OT with Daniel on Friday.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing… Daniel “helping” us in the kitchen.

NaNoWriMo Update

So I’m about halfway in and am keeping up. Yay!

I only have two people to kill off so far. In order to have the fictitious DaHorror.Com website in my story, I need more. If you want me to kill you off creatively, go to Daniel’s March of Dimes band and donate. (I don’t care how much it is — $5 is totally acceptable to me.) Leave me a comment on how you want to die and I’ll send you a copy of the paragraph where I kill you off.

FOR TODAY November 8, 2010

Outside my window… sunshine after a rainy day yesterday.

I am thinking… about where my NaNo story is going.

I am wearing… a grey maternity shirt and pajama bottoms.

I am creating… my NaNo story

I am going… back up to Sacramento today.

I am reading… Winter’s Child by Margaret Maron.

I am hoping… I can get some stuff knocked off my mental to-do list this week.

I am hearing… Daniel kicking on the floor.

Around the house… I’ll probably have a massive amount of sweeping to do on Wednesday morning. (We get home Tuesday night.)

One of my favorite things… Daylight Savings Time ending and being able to get an hour of extra sleep.

A few plans for the rest of the week: try to catch up on my word count for my NaNo story and choir practice on Wednesday.

Outside my window… nice and sunny. It’s supposed to hit 96 on Wednesday. That is so wrong on many levels.

I am thankful for… getting to interview for a job I want and can do well.

From the kitchen… probably ramen tonight.

I am wearing… nice shirt w/camisole, black slacks, clogs — interview garb.

I am creating… my NaNoWriMo piece.

I am going… nowhere special this week.

I am reading… Sand Sharks by Margaret Maron.

I am hoping… I get this job.

I am hearing… jazz over the loudspeaker at $tarbux and Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me.

One of my favorite things… an iced chai latté.

A few plans for the rest of the week: PT and OT as well as a rheumy appointment on Friday.
