GO FLORIDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(OK OK… I couldn’t tell you anything about the team except that they exist.Â? However, I root for anyone playing Ohio State as a principle.)
*ducks to avoid things being thrown at me from Central Ohio*

OSU 42 – Michigan 39.
[insert string of curse words here]
*sighs* At least it was close and OSU didn’t win by *that* much.
**UPDATE** Craaaaaaaaaaap!!!! The Bobcats lost too! I’m going to just curl up in a hole for awhile.
**UPDATE** Thankfully my Huskies decimated the EEEEEVVVVIIIILLLL WSU Cougars in the Apple Bowl.Â? Michigan, start taking notes!
Minnesota SLAUGHTERED Temple.
Washington actually WON!
MSU Bobcats got CLAWED TO BITS by UC Davis.
Best of all… Michigan FLATTENED Notre Dame.
Why is the last one best of all?Â? On “Countdown” on Friday night, they showed a guy getting a full body wax in order to get tickets to the game.Â? He was a ND fan in the midst of Wolverines.Â? I’m not sure which was worse: the body waxing or the loss by his team.
I went to the junior high basketball game tonight.Â? It turns out that the town I used to work in was playing the team which has some of my church kids on it so… cheering was *interesting*.Â? (On a happier note, I got hugs from the people I worked with who were at the game, including my former co-receptionist.)
Something that really impressed me: the girls were just very good about their sportsmanship.Â? People *did* get elbowed and tripped and all that but they’d help each other up even if the person was from the other team.Â? That was just wonderful to see because I remember seeing almost bloodshed at games in Minnesota.Â? I was quite proud of them, especially my church kids who behaved themselves so well on the court.
OK… since Rick has me addicted, here are how my teams have fared:
(Yes… I’m a Bobcat fan. I like their colors better.)
**UPDATE**: The Washington-SJSU game is 21-9 at halftime. *dopeslaps the Huskies for even letting SJSU score*
**UPDATE** The final UW-SJSU score was 35-29. It’s going to be a miserable season for the Dawgs…
**UPDATE** Montana kicked Colorado’s @$$ 19-10.
Steelers 21 – Seahawks 10
The card will be in the mail tomorrow, Rick.
Made the donations to the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank and the Bible League as per the terms of two of the wagers I had. Dreama was kind enough to donate to my charity (The Global Fund for Women) and MeanDean offered to double my donation to the Bible League and donate to The Heifer Project as well. Even if my boys didn’t win, there are less deserving people who are winning because of the Steeler’s victory.
[+] I got a really nice email back from the dude who does the Blog Watch for the RiverCities e-zine. (I had emailed him to tell him how tickled I was that the $tarbuck$ bet made the blog-watch.) I checked out their “About” page and it turns out that this is kind of a grassroots publication to promote their area because previously those promoting the area weren’t from the tri-state area. Very cool in my humble opinion.
[+] I spoke with my mother-in-law and apparently her cats are rooting for the Steelers because they sleep on terrible towels. Traitors!!!!!!
[+] NPR has a great meditation on the confusion that Seahawks fans are facing right now. They pose a good question: what kind of coffee do you serve at a Super Bowl party?
[+] Dreama has a list of alternative TV schtuff for those who aren’t interested in watching the Seahawks make the Steelers weep into their terrible towels.
