Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY January 23, 2012

Outside my window… gray and cold. We had a really rainy Friday and rain yesterday. It was actually a pretty fair day on Saturday.

I am thinking… that it’s a good thing we have a largely unscheduled day tomorrow — I need the rest.

I am thankful… for parishioners who watched Daniel yesterday during church so Jon could do his pastor thing and I could be away at ABA (applied behavior analysis) training.

In the kitchen… defrosting stuff that I’ve frozen.

I am wearing… blue Jameson fleece, white t-shirt, and my penguin pajama bottoms.

I am going… to the post office hopefully tomorrow.

I am wondering… where the regular cars were at Enterprise and why I ended up with a minivan.

I am reading… Inheritance by Christopher Paolini though I did a quick read of “Murder of a Creped Suzette” by Denise Swanson this weekend.

I am hoping… Daniel wakes up happy from his nap.

I am looking forward to… women’s Bible study.

I am learning a lot about ABA.

Around the house… got some papers cleared away this morning.

A favorite quote for today… “Some people feel guilty about their anxieties and regard them as a defect of faith but they are afflictions, not sins. Like all afflictions, they are, if we can so take them, our share in the passion of Christ.” — C. S. Lewis

One of my favorite things… Rain on the windows when I’m falling asleep.

A few plans for the rest of the week: post office tomorrow, speech on Wednesday, OT on Thursday, and heading to San Jose on Friday. Also hoping the car is ready before I leave for San Jose.

A peek into my day… Daniel in a swing at Miwok Park.

  1. Visiting today from SWD. When I was in college I worked with Autistic children and started learning about ABA. That was such a great time 🙂
