31 Days of My World As It Is Sung: What Sounds Fun to Me Right Now

31 Days of My World As It Is Sung

I’m having concentration issues tonight so I’m borrowing a prompt from this list.

What sounds fun to you right now

My definition of fun is different from a lot of people but…

  • Singing the Messiah with a ton of people
  • Going snorkeling
  • Going boating on the Sound
  • Singing just about anything with my church choir
  • A games night with friends
  • Doing homework with some of my classmates
  • 31 Days of My World As It Is Sung: The Simple Woman’s Daybook for October 29, 2017

    For Today…

    Simple Woman's Daybook

Looking out my window… dark. It started out quite foggy this morning and it eventually burned off in the afternoon.

I am thinking… about my coffee date with a classmate to do work tomorrow.

I am thankful… for typos in the bulletin that lead to mirth during worship.

One of my favorite things… sleep.

I am wearing… jammies. Church this morning was my turquoise/black/white bokeh print dress, black cardigan, black camisole, black tights, and black flats. After that, it was a long-sleeved blue-green shirt and jeans.

I am creating… folders, quick steps, and tasks in Outlook.

I am reading listening to… various things online.

I am hoping… I get stuff done in a timely fashion this week.

I am learning… various things in Outlook.

In my kitchen… pot roast, carrots, multi-colored potatoes, and salad for dinner.

In the school room… I had a great time with Daniel on his class field trip to the pumpkin patch last week.

A moment from my day… Our anthem from this morning.

31 Days of My World As It Is Sung: Zombie Frappucino

31 Days of My World As It Is Sung

I got a few notifications on my phone from $tarbux about their Zombie Frappucino and decided to try it today while I was out with Daniel. (By the way, the $tarbux app for phone is worth its weight in gold. You can order before you leave the house and skip most (if not all) of the standing and weighting around. Best app on my phone.)

My verdict: Not bad. It’s a fake apple flavor (which I actually like) with dark mocha drizzle and pink whipped cream to represent braaaaaaaaiiinnnsssss. I won’t replace my normal order with it until the promotion ends but it was good to try once.

31 Days of My World As It Is Sung: Hurriedly Coming Up with Quick Takes!

    7 Quick Takes

Tell me again about how the 50’s were awesome. Guess what? They weren’t if you were a housewife (or really a woman in general).

    — 2 —

I love this. A phone number has been created for women to give to creepy men who come on to them. Seriously, I wish someone had come up with this when I was in college.

    — 3 —

A reading list. Laurel Muff did a fabulous job of compiling her favorite books about saints for Blessed is She. I may be adding a few of those to my TBR pile.

    — 4 —

Interesting. This is thought-provoking. (It also reminds me that I need a haircut.)

    — 5 —

Claudia Fragapane. One of the things I do when I’m having insomnia is watch YouTube videos and gymnastics is a favorite. The British have a surprisingly good team and Claudia is one of them. She’s the current World Championships bronze medalist on Floor Exercise.

    — 6 —

Halloween. Daniel’s school does a pajama day on Halloween (some of the kids can’t afford costumes but almost everyone has pajamas) and I honestly don’t really feel like dragging him to a couple houses on the cul-de-sac to trick-or-treat. I know… slacker mom!

My theme song. Maybe I should see if I could get this as my new cell phone number? 😀 (Just kidding — I also spell mine as “Jenni” not “Jenny”.)
