An Idea for Solving World Hunger

This is the time of year when one locks their car doors at church because if you don’t…

you end up with tons of zucchini, corn, potatoes, peas, squash, pumpkins…

I have this idea for solving world hunger: send all the surplus zucchini to the starving people. This would work because zucchini is pretty hard to mess up and it grows just *so* well.

(Of course I didn’t just process two zucchini that were larger than my arms and one the size of a small pumpkin that well-meaning parishioners gave Jon. Nooooo… And of course I don’t have 3 gallons of grated zukes in the fridge waiting for me to bake them into a zucchini chocolate cake for Sir Sours. Of course not!)

Football for Today

OK… since Rick has me addicted, here are how my teams have fared:

  • Minnesota shut out Kent State 44-0 on Thursday
  • Michigan crushed Vanderbilt 27-7
  • Washington is supposed to play San Jose State. If they lose, I will be really pissed off and my Huskies peeps in Seattle will be hearing about this.
  • Montana State plays Colorado today.

(Yes… I’m a Bobcat fan. I like their colors better.)

**UPDATE**: The Washington-SJSU game is 21-9 at halftime. *dopeslaps the Huskies for even letting SJSU score*

**UPDATE** The final UW-SJSU score was 35-29. It’s going to be a miserable season for the Dawgs…

**UPDATE** Montana kicked Colorado’s @$$ 19-10.

I Should Be Pub-Crawling or Something…

I have discovered the wonderfulness that is Great Big Sea.Â? Their music makes me wish I was in a pub in the Canadian Maritimes listening to and singing drinking songs while chugging the non-alcoholic liquid of my choice.Â? :)Â? (I’m not a teetotaller — I just have a low alcohol tolerance.)

If they get anywhere within 4 hours of me, I am sooooo going to the concert.
